Groups  of 3 students will provide a presentation on a clinically-related topic in systems neurobiology during the last week of class.

Topics for presentations are described at: presentations.html .

Please indicate your first, second and third choices for presentations using this survey.    Only one entry should be submitted for each student trio.

Midterm Exam

With one makeup exam pending, the average on Exam 1 was 64 ± 12.    Once the final makeup is complete, I will post the answer key and will return the exams.

Logistics for this week

Since I am traveling to a meeting in Washington this week, Thursday’s lecture will be pre-recorded and there is no class on Friday.  I will be presenting Tuesday’s lecture from the BMP classroom.

Although there is no assigned Tophat homework for this week, I have assigned the questions due on June 7. 

I strongly encourage you to complete the first 30 questions before the midterm exam, as they assess your understanding of the brainstem.

As a reminder, the first exam in the course is this Friday, May 31. It covers all lectures through today’s lecture (brainstem 2), as well as the Neurophysiology modules: https://pittmedneuro.com. Note that you may take the exam on Friday either virtually with your camera on, or in the classroom.

There will be office hours on Wednesday of this week at 6 PM.
